Summary – Exceptional.
My wife and I were recently in the market for a new car and exchanging our old one, and had decided on a Honda Civic. After much searching for the right model, year and colour (with some less than savoury visits to some other dealers), we happened upon Chequers Cars, offering the exact model we were looking for at a great price.
We parked up and were greeted by Gary in a very friendly manner, and he allowed us to look over the car at our own pace, letting us to test drive there & then, whilst Chris valued our Citroen. At this point, I have to add Chris was also exceptionally welcoming and both Gary and Chris made us feel very at ease, with this being the first time we’ve purchased a car from a used dealership.
Once we had test driven the Civic, we were sold, so Gary processed all of the paperwork effortlessly, and we drove away amazing happy customers, leaving our old car in good hands as part exchange.
Unfortunately, the clutch pedal developed a squeaking noise shortly afterward (I must add, this is no fault of Chequers, this is an occasional issue with some Civics). However, I called Gary to let him know, and at this point, the service went from 5 star to 6 star. Gary and his team identified the issue very quickly, ordered the required part from Honda, and even arranged to have my car collected from my work in the morning, fixed whilst I was at work, and dropped off the same day!
I’m pleased to report the problem is fixed, the squeak is gone, and we are enjoying driving the Civic more than ever.
Genuinely and honestly, the best service and aftercare I have received in a long time, and I would highly recommend Gary, Chris and Chequers as a whole. When it comes to eventually buying another car, they’ll be my first port of call.
