My parents-in-law, who are based in Edinburgh, had asked me to source a replacement Mercedes A class for them. I forwarded to them details of several candidates I had identified on the net and they asked me to investigate further the car offered by Chequers, as it was equipped with specific options they wanted and was very reasonably priced. I emailed Chequers at 9:30 pm expressing interest in the car; I received a reply from Chris at 10:05 the very same evening.
I arranged to see car a couple of days later; I live about 100 miles from the garage so in order to fit in with my schedule Chris agreed to be available at 07:30 am. He spent 30 minutes over a cup of coffee taking me through the car’s history, presented me with the keys and suggested a test drive route. Half an hour later I returned; the car was exactly as described in the ad and after a brief chat with my father-in-law the deal was agreed.
Chris went that extra mile, personally delivering the car to Edinburgh and spending time with my father-in-law (who’s well into his eighties) to explain all the controls and ensure that he was totally comfortable with his new purchase. One month on my parents-in-law are still delighted with their new car, and made a special point of commenting to me how pleasurable dealing with Chris was.
I would use Chequers Cars again without hesitation.
